In 1987, from June 5 to June 7, the festival expanded to three stages and featured: Buster Benton, Dion Payton, Johnny Guitar Watson, James Cotton with Jimmy Rodgers. The Kinsey Report w/ Big Daddy, Albert Collins, Cicero Blake, Jimmy Dawkins, Valerie Wellington, Katie Webster, Lil Ed & the Blues Imperials, Otha Turner Fife and Drum, Bogan and Armstrong, Lazy Lester,  Sunnyland Slim, Tyrone Davis, Joe Liggins & The Honeydrippers, Snooks Eaglin, Jessie Mae Hemphill, Jimmy and Syl Johnson, Rufus & Carla Thomas, Carl Perkins, Clarence Carter, Denise LaSalle and Little Milton.
